ALYSSA'S ANGELS HONORS FSW

Local non-profit organization, Alyssa's Angels, has presented 2014 Community Partner Awards to both the Federation of Social Workers and the FSW Retirees Council. Also honored with awards were FSW retirees Terry Linden and Michelle & Chris Dudley.

Alyssa's Angels annually recognizes groups, businesses, individuals and organizations that have made exceptional efforts in support of its work to help children and families in need in our area. Other honorees for 2014 included the Rochester Police Locust Club, Gates Automotive Center and BRX Global Research.

"We are extremely grateful to all of our friends at the Federation of Social Workers, who have supported us since Alyssa's Angels first started", said president, Chris Bruno. "FSW members serve on our board and many FSW members are consistently involved with all of our activities. Our partnership with the Federation has been vitally important to the success of our organization."

The Monroe County Federation of Social Workers, IUE-CWA Local 81381, is the oldest public sector social worker union in the United States of America. During our more than fifty years of existence we have provided diligent representation to our membership, which now includes more than nine hundred employees of the County of Monroe in upstate New York.

Our members are dedicated human service professionals who are both caring and committed to the entire community. Their tireless efforts at their jobs, and also as volunteers supporting many local charities, have improved the quality of life for everyone in Monroe County.
