ELECTIONS

Lucille LoBue holds the position of Election Chair for the Federation of Social Workers. She has worked for Monroe County for 15 years and currently is a senior caseworker for Child Protective Management- Team 1. Previously she worked with the Monroe County Health Department in the school health program and as a child protective investigator.

LoBue was a union steward for CSEA for eight years, a FSW team captain for a year and a FSW union steward for four years. She has a degree in elementary education from Brockport State College, a business, management and economics degree from Empire State College and she attended Roberts Wesleyan College to become a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

She has three sons and lives in Gates.

Health & Safety

Geena Cruz has an associate's degree in Human Services from Monroe Community College. She has more than five years of experience in the union serving as a steward, CWA/IUE delegate, secretary/member for the Committee on Equity, Chair of Domestic Violence Sub Committee and Coalition of Black Trade Union Women Committee. Formerly a steward, she now holds the title of chair of Health and Safety at the Monroe County Federation of Social Workers. As Health and Safety chair she will work diligently with Department of Human and Health Services and the membership committee to make sure health and safety issues are a priority.

Cruz has been an examiner for Monroe County for over five years and is currently working as a Youth Employment Specialist. She is an activist in Monroe County and the religious community, and works on several executive/advisor boards. She is currently a graduate of the LLDP (Latino Leadership Development Program) and is working towards furthering her education in labor relations and public administration at Cornell University ILR. Cruz has two children and resides in Greece.

Social Action

As chairperson of the Social Action Committee, Adola DeWolf is responsible for informing members and the community of different social issues through volunteering and fundraising events. Currently the committee is addressing issues such as universal health care, pediatric AIDS and cancer awareness.

Membership

As membership chair, Marcelina Cruz is responsible for the yearly planning needs and monthly reporting to the executive board. The membership chair should also be responsible for the orientation of any new class of the employer, promoting and planning activities that enhance the well-being of the local's and their families.
